Hello fellow Folders,
After burning the midnight oil since Thursday night, I've finally managed to re-build my home-brewed folding farm I was once well into this about 6 months or so ago, but lost interest a bit over at CPC, but thanks to BC, PeteBee and Justin I've rekindled my passion for chasing numbers and reducing bank balances!..... oh, and also do my bit for science too
Anyways, the farm's now finished and will be left alone to do its thing while I'm working away throu the week. A quick run-down of the hardware now in use :-
Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping @ 3.76Ghz - Ubuntu 7.10. 2x SMP Clients.
Core 2 Quad Q6600 B3 Stepping @ 3.2Ghz - Ubuntu 7.04 2x SMP Clients.
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0Ghz - Vista Ultimate 1x SMP Client.
Pentium Dual Core E2140 @ 2.8Ghz - Unbuntu 7.10 1x SMP Client.
Pentium Dual Core E2160 @ 2.7Ghz - XP32 1x SMP Client.
FahMon Screenie
Im well chuffed with that tbh, was only really expecting 10kppd. I still have a few tweeks to do next weekend, got some Arctic Cooling Freezer 7's on order for the E2140 + E2160, both chips will do 3.2Ghz easy with better cooling. I'll also be switching the E2160 over to Ubuntu 7.10 next week too. + Adding another E2160 now i've managed to "fix" the Abit Fatal1ty mobos.. only down side is using them in single channel RAM mode is killing the ppd a tad.
So, come on peeps, get F@H running with your spare cycles and together we will fire team KWSN upwards through the tables once again!
Fold on team 117!
Cheers,
Rich. _________________ More Power Captain! We Need MORE POWER I Tell You!!

The GO Quad is installed in an Asus P5B Deluxe p965.
1.575vcore
1.45v Northbridge
420x9 FSB.
Mid to high 50's on core temp.
I really need some PC8500 RAM to get a bit more out of it as at that fsb, at its lowest divider is forcing my current PC6400 stuff to run at 830ish Mhz. Sadly it refuses to go any higher.
I've had this chip posting at 4Ghz, but the memory falls over and the mobo hits its limit. _________________ More Power Captain! We Need MORE POWER I Tell You!!

I've got some OCZ wc'ed 2Gb stuff I'm not using if you are interested. Shiny and chrome to boot. I dumped it for 4Gb at lower speed, also plumbing was a bit of a nightmare in a SFF PC (dual loops, Cpu, Gfx/NB, ram) |
