I noticed a few days ago that there is now a facility within BOINC to add a "Universal" Team that will add a team to all BOINC projects, including new ones, where there is not already a team in place.

Having offered the rather dubious honour of forming this KWSN Universal Team to our resident Fluffy Project Whore (KillerWabbit), I find I'm in total agreement with his sentiments that it's rather fun to see who can find the new projects first and start a KWSN team.

So, A PLEA to all and sundry. PLEASE DO NOT ADD a KWSN Universal team; let battle commence on who has the sharpest eyes for new projects.

I'm in total agreement with you guys on this one. While I doubt I'll ever be first on a new project I honestly get a kick out of even seeing who did get there first when I am browsing projects.

The next question is that when someone does finally make a universal team can we turn it off? Its almost inevitable that one of the thousands of Knights will do it some day.

I love having bun fights over who gets to a project first. I do not know what will happen to me on those projects I am team founder if this universal team pops up.

I don't think we should, What if we piss-off the Klingons or something. The Holy Grail has been traveling thru space for quite some time and it is possible we may step on somebody's toes ( pads, suckers, hooves, etc ).

I think this is a VERY SILLY IDEA - and not just for our team.

Apart from taking away the fun of having many individual team founders, I can see this causing major resentment on many teams as the founder of an old BOINC team can oust the later ones...

I was taking a look at a few projects wondering if I was the team founder of them and it seems I am the team founder on quite a few. I lost count after awhile (actually I never kept count to begin with).
