117 until Xmas or there abouts. Can't remember exactly when season 4 starts, but I think Torchwood season two will hit between Xmas and DW season 4 anyway . _________________

Well, that was good!
Don't blink!
I'm looking forward to next week too - The Doctor and Jack Harkness.
It's almost a year for season 4 on this side of the pond. _________________ My brain hurts.

Have a high speed net connection there Michelle? At least in the states an episode is generally viewable within about 36 hours of it playing in the UK. _________________

Honestly most p2p isn't running all that fast anyway, so the always on is the more important part of the equation than the raw speed(past a point). I doubt I'm getting more than a couple k a second, but if you let it sit there and chug away for a day it gets there in the end _________________

Silly channel 10 for having Torchwood out of synch. Tonight's episode should have been shown last week so that it lined up with Doctor Who.
Saturday's Doctor Who was one of the best yet. Seeing Jack and the Doctor together again was fantastic and I just loved the way they bounced off each other...verbally not physically. Boy, the Master is a pretty nasty dude! This season of Doctor Who is fantastic!
Tonight's Torchwood was the one where Rhys was killed (sniff), and they opened the rift and the big demon overdosed on Jack and died, and Jack died (sniff). He heard the tardis and took off with the Doctor's hand at the end so it should have been shown last week to line up properly. I really wish the ABC had taken on the series and shown Torchwood after Doctor Who on Saturday nights. It would have been much better.
As it is, stupid channel 10 took Torchwood out of the Monday night 9.30 timeslot and changed it to midnight Tuesday. Now they have that stupid Californication (couldn't be bothered watching it) in the Monday night timeslot. I bet we don't even get Torchwood season 2. _________________ My brain hurts.

Assuming you just saw Utopia last week, you haven't seen anything yet with the Master. Just wait until you see The Sound of Drums. I'm a huge fan of John Simm. _________________

That was it, Utopia. The Sound of Drums was on last night! John Simm is Saxon, is that right? He's very good...evil but great in the role. Poor Doctor looks like he's about 150 years old! I know it's almost the end of the season and it's really annoying knowing that it's going to be nearly a year before it's back on. _________________ My brain hurts.

Well you can at least hope that the lag between British release and local release is getting shorter. In the US at least there was a lag of a full year between season 1's release there and here, by season 3 it was down to about 3 months. _________________

Just saw the news today as well. A two doctor episode with the current Doctor and the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davidson) for the Save the Children fund raiser. And the best news is Steven Moffat will be writing it. _________________

Resurrecting...
I just discovered last Friday that ABC2 (thank the Universe for digital set-top boxes) is showing the first season of the new Doctor Who ( Christopher Eccleston ). Caught the fifth episode - World War III - on Friday night. It's a shame I hadn't found this about five weeks ago, but at least I can still get my Doctor fix while waiting for the new season on ABC1.
I've really got to get all these on dvd.
A couple of weeks ago I managed to get the first disc of the Torchwood season 1 dvds. Second and third discs have been ordered.
Still no news as to whether Torchwood season 2 will be shown here. Heard a rumour that it will be shown on Channel Ten HD channel rather than the normal Channel Ten. That's why I went out and bought the digital set-top box. I thought it was a good enough excuse.
Eaving, did you get to see the two doctor episode yet? I think I only ever saw a couple of eps of the Peter Davidson Doctor Who series. _________________ My brain hurts.

We're still waiting for the Doctor. I think he's going to be back at the end of the month.
I just watched the last 3 eps of season 2 Torchwood tonight. How could they do it?
I'd already read about it but it was still a shock when it happened. A definite tissue box ending. At least John didn't turn out to be so bad after all...but that doesn't make up for what happened.
We still have no inkling of when or if season 2 is going to be shown here so thank {insert deity of choice here} for the internet. Next year seems so far away. _________________ My brain hurts.

There's some good episodes in the current series.
The Steve Moffatt double "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead" is predictably good - Steve was responsible for "Blink" , "The Empty Child" and "The Girl in the Fireplace" which I rate as some of the best episodes. He takes over from Russell T. Davies as Lead Writer and Producer for the next series (in 2010) - can't wait!
"Midnight" is disturbing... almost all done in one small set and is one of very few episodes I can remember that doesn't have the Tardis in it anywhere!
