Yes sir, got back our 20th spot and we are about to cross 12 million. Take that Baker Lab!!!
AND in 5 days we will catch Phoenix Rising...which will put us at 19th, which will tie our highest position in Rosetta EVER!!! We have not been that high in Rosetta since Nov 28 2005!! _________________

I've made my own, modest contribution. I have my Opty running, which is one of three machines I'm running Rosetta on (including this Linux box I built around the 3700+ San Diego I swapped for the Opty).
Speaking of which, I've tried various fixes II found on the message boards, and I still can't get the new Linux box to report the correct host name.
It might be a little confusing when I have two more Linux boxes, and BOINC thinks they're all called "hostname"
One very positive thing is how much faster the same exact CPU chip is shrubbing. Between no graphics and lower OS overhead, it appears to be about 30% faster. Maybe even better than that.
The downside is that I keep "losing" my PrimeGrid credit. I don't seem to remember quite the right trick for getting it associated with the rest of my credit again. Sigh. If they keep this up, I might have to stop shrubbing for them.
My Einstein credit isn't showing up on my tagline, either. What in the world is going on here? _________________

Add the projects to another machine that is showing up properly. I.e. add the projects that aren't showing up to another machine that is showing up on whatever project it's on. As soon as they download work tell it not to and just let it run out the queue. It will synch your CPIDs and fix the problem.
This is exactly why I have one machine (my main box) that is on every project. It's not active on them, but every now and then I ping the servers to update my credit information, and the fact that this host (and user name) is associated with every project it keeps things synched. I've had to fire up a few projects now and then after adding new hosts to get things back in line, but it never takes more than one batch of work. _________________

That sounds like an excellent strategy. PrimeGrid seems to spontaneously create new CPIDs for me, and I might have hosed the other stuff up in my efforts to get the hostname for the new linux box (with the old 3700+ San Diego in it) to report properly.
I'll have to check this out. My original (main - now Opty) rig has every project that I process on any of my machines on it.. I was just very concerned that even Einstein (which is processing on that machine as we speak) dropped completely off the BOINCstats tagline. Perhaps it will synch back up when it reports the latest WU.
Thanks for the advice. Perhaps between your advice, and what I got the last time my PrimeGrid disappeared (which I hope I can find again, because I seem to have forgotten some of the details), I can get all my credits back. This is at least mildly annoying, because I have a fair amount of credit in Einstein now. _________________

Yeah, Malaria Control is the one that likes to escape from time to time on mine. It's because it's where I put all my new hosts until (if) I move them to another project. I spent a week having the CPID bounce back and forth from mine to my friend in Australia before it finally synched up hehe.
You can verify if this is the problem by going to that projects website and looking at your account. You should not only have a matching CPID, but at the bottom it should show all of your projects. If Einstein isn't listed on the other projects sites, and the other projects aren't listed on Einsteins, your CPID is waffling for sure. Stick a host that's on both projects on it and it'll figure itself out.
It also helps if you use the exact same user name and email, at least for BOINCStats, because it tries to group users by them as well as CPID. _________________

My fellow Ni's!,
Today is a great day. At the end of this working day, The KWSN will be 19th in Rosetta. This is a feat not seen since November 28, 2005!. Phoenix Rising may be rising, but they are sinking below the Ni's!

Hmm. Rosetta... where have I heard that before. Rosetta rosetta rosetta.
Oh yeah, that's it! hehe
Unfortunately, the rig on that project has been mysteriously offline for 24 hours. By mysteriously, I mean my roomie probably closed BOINC again for some totally unrelated reason. <sigh> I'll have to go turn it back on all sneaky ninja like today. _________________
