Anyone know if the Chicken's optimised app for seti will work on seti beta/astro pulse?

Unless he's built one for astropulse, no. Different project, different app. Besides, since it's beta, they're probably testing out new apps, so letting BOINC download the new apps would help them more.

BETA is for testing. Astropulse is building in their own optimizations, but the Chicken Crew is also working on how they can optimize it better when it gets released to the real world. Chicken Crew will NOT release a optimization until it moves to regular, because of the testing needed.

The current optimized app works on Multi-beam, but gives less credit because of a new multiplier. Using the optimized on BETA can get your account blocked from using BETA, as again it's for testing the applications before they go to regular SETI.
