Can you do a tracert?
Open up a dos box/command prompt, then type:
tracert www.kwsn.nl _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Click Start, Run..., and type cmd in the box that opens. It should open a black box with a command line. Type tracert www.kwsn.nl and either type the output here or maybe catch a screenshot of it and put it online etc. _________________

Start/Run, then put in cmd.exe and click ok. Once the DOS box pops up, type in:
tracert www.kwsn.nl
Once that completes, right click on the DOS box and choose "Mark", then click and drag to highlight all of the output, then hit "enter". That will copy the output to your clipboard, so you should be able to paste it in here - I suggest using the code tags to preserve the formatting. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Ok, so you can hit the server just fine. Are you a Firefox user? It can be a little aggressive with its caching. Clearing the cache might help. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

I do use FF and I clear the cache and cookies all the time. I had no problem last night and first thing this AM, when this Board came up, the other went down. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

Remember in case this happens again and for a long period of time we do have a back-up home to go to because frankly we need one or else we would all wander away.

That is "fine"? 1 second+ pings are hardly fine, that's probably going to make FF say the server is taking too long to respond. I can't believe you're getting such horrid ping times to your ISP, it boggles my mind. Even on dial-up your pings should be 1/4 of that! You're not running anything bandwidth intensive are you, like Majestic 12 or torrents or something? If not, I'd send a nastygram to your ISP, those ping times are totally unacceptable.
On an amusing aside, I had to smack my personal firewall around because it doesn't allow ICMP traffic, even if I initiate it. How dumb is that?
My tracert times:
<1 <1 <1 (local network)
* * * timeout
8 9 * ISP
10 * 8 ISP
* 11 11 ISP
