New workunits: the new workunits for the SIMAP application contain approx. 100.000 new sequences from the databases UNIPROT and GENBANK.

These WU's seem to be longer than the older ones. Just a word of warning about that.

You can't be serious?
All the ones I got lasted less than 15 minutes. Good thing I stocked up. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

SIMAP has more work. About 9K WU's still left to send. It seems SIMAP has entered the LHC zone.

Get your shrubbers ready, Simap might have work in the next few days...
Quote: | The similarity matrix of the SIMAP project is currently up to date. All workunits from the last calculation period are distributed, thanks to all users for crunching them. The calculation of new simap workunits containing the novel proteins from April 2007 (simap app) and their domains (hmmer app) will start around may 1st. |

As mentioned in my project list posted in this forum, they have become an intermittent project. They open every month with around 100,000 work units and by the second week of the month all work is gone. Sometimes, like last month, it doesn't even last until the second week. That said, it's still a good project, they just happen to not be expanding right now, and are just updating the databases every month. _________________

Well they went through the bulk of all their work and now all is left is just to update the database with new stuff. At least the work at SIMAP might last a few more days and more reliable than LHC.

They came out with a bit more work than usual this month, and I've sicked 2* machines on the project until they run out of work again hehe.
Update: Make that 3!
Update: Make that 4!
It's one of my projects with under 5,000 total credit. Going to try to see if I can get it up to 10k credit before these workunits run out hehe. _________________
