The main thing I'm shooting for is back into the top 10 for people that joined the same day I did. My RAC is drastically higher than any of theirs but some of them have been at it consistantly since BOINC started, so the number one guy is actually at about half a million shrubs despite a pretty low daily. Will be a year or more before I catch him but I should make the top 10 within another couple of months. _________________

I can't remember where to find the rank by join date thing. Last time I looked I was waaaaay down the list, like 1,600th place. Dunno why so many people joined on the day I did hehe. _________________

Go to your boinc page for whatever project you want to look up. From there the third block of details is your join date and position in sign-up date with a link to see the full list. I actually bookmarked Boinc there so its the first thing I see whenever I head into Boinc. One of the advantages of being a Seti Classic person is there were only 124 users that signed up then that have transitioned to Boinc, so Ive got a shorter list to fight against. If I sort by daily credit I actually am in first and out shrub positions 2-5 combined, but Ive only got a fraction of their total credit. I'll keep shrubbing away and make it higher in the stats though. _________________

Ah, yes, on BOINCStats rather than BOINC itself hehe.
Sign-up date: 1999-04-03
Position in 'sign-up date' stats: 826
That's all I can get out of BOINCStats, the detailed page won't load any information. When did you join?
I too was a "classic" user, but I couldn't retrieve my credentials/credits. I've got my 10,000 workunits certificate still (KWSN - ItsaNi!) but my accounts got all mixed up. SETI says I joined Dec 6th 1999, but BOINC says earlier than that. I can't claim the credits because I can't remember the email addy I used, it was a very long time ago hehe. _________________

Ah you actually predate me pretty heavily. Wonder why the number of users was so much higher on that day then? My join date as 2/9/2003. Strangely enough I started Boinc on 2/9 as well though I didn't realize I'd restarted on my start date until a few days later. _________________

The last time I looked I was 1,600+ position for that day. I suspect that it was a day they migrated accounts, rather than a real sign-up date, if that makes sense. _________________

Yeah the rank by signup date is only available on individual projects.. For example on Seti signup on Valentine's Day '04, i'm 47th of 95 in the stats.
Nano-Hive on the other hand 10/12/06, and I'm 1st. I don't feel like doing all the projects i've ever been involved in. _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |

For me (for my signup dates) I am:
10th in Einstein (can climb as high as 7th - will take a while though
12th in Rosetta (can get as high as 5th - going to take me 9 months though)
11th in Seti (in the next 6 weeks or so I should be able to get 9th and given another (good) year maybe 8th then that's about it) _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

My date joined rank:
Einstien #2
Rosetta #5
Seti #6
(Must have been slow days for each of the projects I still shrub.) _________________

My sign-up dates for projects are:
CPDN 2, moving to 1 in about 1/2 year.
Einstein 2, moving to 1 in 4-5 months
SETI 3 and holding
Predictor 1, but I refuse to ever do work there again. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

Ok, here's the list hehe:
- Project --- Join Date --- Position --- Change
- CPDN ------ 2004-09-05 --- 138 of 562 --- -1 --- Dropped project, so nowhere to go but down.
- Einstein --- 2005-01-22 --- 467 of 2,188 --- +156 --- 63 sorted by RAC, but I've dropped rigs from the project.
- Malaria ---- 2007-03-23 --- 7 of 37 --- +0 --- New project for me, but only one part-time rig on this project, going to fall a lot in this rank.
- Nano-Hive -2007-01-28 --- 4 of 18 --- -2 --- 6 sorted by RAC, but I recently picked this project back up.
- Proteins --- 2007-01-02 --- 35 of 151 --- +8 --- Picked project up temporarily, but dropped again.
- QMC ------- 2006-12-29 --- 1 of 21 --- +0 --- Probably going to drop to 2nd, nobody else even close.
- Rosetta --- 2006-12-29 --- 1 of 138 --- +0 --- Holding my own.
- SETI ------- 1999-04-03 --- 704 of 23,160 --- +122 --- 148 sorted by RAC, but there are a few at the top with 40,000+ RAC!
- SIMAP ----- 2007-03-14 --- 2 of 20 --- +1 --- I'll eventually take 2nd.
- Spinhenge - 2007-03-27 --- 6 of 62 --- +0 --- Another new project.
- WCG ------- 2007-01-01 --- 6 of 67 --- +0 --- 5 sorted by RAC.
As I suspected, my SETI date must have been a day they moved accounts to BOINC from Classic or something. 23,160 new accounts that day? I think not.

Seti I'm 27th at the moment. Will make 2nd in about 4 months and first in about a year. Assuming the first doesn't get serious again. Hes at half a million but did most of that in about 8 months and is only running about a 100 RAC at the moment.
Rosetta I'm currently 32nd, probably will cap at 15-20.
ABC@home I'm 9th despite only running it at 30 percent on one of my three shrubbers. In team I'm tenth. Anyone that wants some easy bragging rights could make top 5 in the team here in a few days of serious shrubbing, Ive made top 10 in a month of barely running it. _________________

I think this is great, Eaving. I've been watching you fade further into the distance since your taunt, because you just plain have more RAC capacity, and I haven't managed to add anything to my garden (it's not a proper farm) yet.
I got going on SETI enhanced just this year (some time in February, I think), and I am 84th percentile. What's interesting to me is how little it takes to rank in Leiden. I have my AMD rig set to 15% on that (and not for all that long), and I was almost 65th percentile last time I checked.
Primegrid has a LOT more users than Leiden, though I found that the WU's for Primegrid are more manageable for my poor, abused Celeron box, especially since I just inflicted MJ12 on that box again as well. For that matter, Leiden needs more room than the entire disk capacity for the machine. So much for that idea.
I am still moving up pretty steadily in the combined BOINC Statistics for the World page. According to that, I've moved up over 18,000 places this week, and the better part of 300 places today. I'm quite a way from 100k (try 165k+) rank, though it is showing my world rank by RAC as being 20,295! This all with one moderately powerful, single-core AMD rig, and an old small form factor Celery rig.
What the hey, it wasn't long ago at all that I was 257k plus world rank, according to the same site.
My plan is to install linux on a Pentium III 733 and see if I can keep it going. It has had a history of locking up. I tried putting a much better HSF on it, and that didn't do it. I'm now thinking it might be something on the mobo overheating (like the RAM or the bridge chip(s), because my AMD rig did exactly the same thing when I was too aggressive with the fan EQ settings. I'm thinking that adding a good case fan might do it.
Anyway, it has enough disk capacity to run Leiden and Primegrid, so I can go back to 100% SETI on the AMD
I want to OC the AMD, though I have to get the cooling working a lot better first. There is still way too much difference between ambient and the 3 places in the system that the mobo measures (it all shows up on a backlit LCD that came with the mobo).
Once I finally get the home network wired up, I'll be able to add my 4 X Pentium III Xeon file server and my son's Sempron box as well.
Then we'll see what happens to my RAC _________________

It's now the highest single-core benchmark in my entire farm, including the E6400 Core2's. Unfortunately, the benchmarks love it but it doesn't live up to those numbers as my Core2's easily outdo it with both cores individually hehe. Ah well, I'll keep inching it up.
