I am considering adding a couple of new projects to shrub. I am currently shrubbing Seti, Rosetts and Einstein (and Belgian Beer at home (at home)).
I want projects that will count in Boinc and something worthwhile. Preferably one that gets me plenty of credit & is stable too.
Any suggestions? Tell me what project & what the science is about. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Go here, I'm sure you will like this project and it's a BOINC project. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

I did vert well with credits, had to remove it as it used all my resources and wouldn't let F@H take a share. I will put it back on soon tho. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

It's a very worthwhile project as they act as a host for scientific projects that can't operate an @home independently. Work is very consistent and stable and all projects go through an intensive review before being added as well as a seperate beta phase.
Credits are average, I'd say. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

OK so WCG is up for some serious consideration....and most likely in unless I find something on their site that pi$$es me off (not liekle since I have looked at the site and didn't see anything that should do that).
Are there any others that I should consider? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

I should mention their site can be a little confusing as it doesn't follow the standard BOINC layout, but once you find all the options it is much more user friendly and customizable. You can also select which projects you want to work on or neglect, opt in for the beta, control seperate computer resources, etc.
Besides, our team is barely into the top 100 and we need more power Scotty. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

I figured out the site and joined. I am shrubbing WCG. I will add it on my "other" computer to it tomorrow. Oh and I joined the team too. Did you know there is a team on there the called themselves "Knights who say Ni"?
Now I need another project. Any more ideas? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Malaria, and I was aware of the other team. I think it may be totally inactive. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

QMC has been good to me too. I only have it running on one box, but it's yet to let me down.
The other thing about WCG to keep in mind is they didn't start as a BOINC project, so their credits don't match up 1 to 1. You will show a lot more credits on their site than BOINC will show for you, don't let it get you down hehe. _________________

I was taking a gander at the WCG site when I noticed that according to the site I have 108 points for the WU I finished for them. I then saw that according to Boinc Stats I have 15 credits (with an RAC of 42????) for the same 1 WU.
Can someone please explain the discrepancy to me? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Told you, they don't do points the same. The WCG site gives way more points than BOINC does, so you end up with weird differences. It all evens out in the long run, as I'm getting just as many credits w/WCG per day as I am for any other project. _________________

It confused me a bit, that's all. I saw that and said WTF? (Not the letters the actual words).
As long as the team gets the credit and climbs the rankings. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

And I shall be passing 1 meeellion points shortly. Hopefully before the end of the month, if not, then certainly in February. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

We need help in WCG, we are pretty far down the list of teams.

I've got WCG 100% on two cores:
The RAC is because I only started this month, so it's taking awhile to average out (last few days have actually been 800-1000 credits/day). _________________
