Well until it's back up I shutdown those boxes to be a bit greener. It's sooooo quiet in here now, and my cats are circling the boxes trying to figure out what's happened _________________

Been looking for something of interest, but nothing yet. I did SETI a long time ago, then Folding, now Einstein. If nothing else, I'll probably turn the lights back on when Einstein's back up.

Seems like Einstein is down again. I can't login to their web page, and BOINC gives me one of the following errors when trying to connect:
12/01/2007 09:33:40|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request failed: couldn't connect to server
12/01/2007 09:39:19|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request failed: server returned nothing (no headers, no data) _________________

As of 10 minutes ago I got a successful scheduler session with Einstein, including sending and receiving WUs.
They went a little foggy about an hour ago when one of my rigs crashed and tried to take them down with it (Proteins@Home fault). Ended up blasting them with 30 or 40 failed WUs before I smacked the machine around to fix it. Both (project and machine hehe) seem to be fine now for me. _________________

Down again...
Einstein@Home 1/16/2007 8:37:40 AM Message from server: Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance
That's from 10 minutes ago. An hour ago the attempt failed with a server error, and before that the server was unreachable. I've got 18 results waiting to be sent home. _________________

Power went out at my house, ( ice storm) and just got it back, I have 26 units to send in. But I am good on units for about 2 more days if it stays down. Then on to WCG Again.

Any ideas what is going on with them this time?
In the meanwhile I am sitting here with just SETI & Rosetta running. Are there any other other good credit shrubs out there? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

28 results pending going home now. Thankfully that machine has 15 waiting to run and 2 running now so it'll be busy for awhile yet.
WCG is a good one I've found. Stable client, good long WUs, very rarely any communications problems, and none that have lasted more than an hour thus far. QMC is good too, for the same reasons as WCG. I've got clients on both and they are probably the two second-most problem free projects (Rosetta being the most problem free, never had any problems with it at all).
SETI is being a bit weird again. All my earlier WUs got uploaded, but I've got one stuck waiting again so they must be back down. <sigh> _________________

It's TUESDAY!!!!! They take the SETI servers down on Tuesday for maint. I think they are back up by now - sometimes there is a rush of traffic once they come back up though..... _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Excuses excuses. Why isn't Einstein back up yet? 39 WUs waiting to go home, only 7 left queued and 2 running now. At this rate it's going to run out of work tonight. _________________

Well, all 48 WU's are now waiting to phone home and I'm out of work. Guess WCG is going to get some extra cycles, as it's downloading a double workload on that box even as I type this. _________________

I hope Einstein is going to be able to handle the rush for work when they come back up.
This is the server status on their site:

I agree. I'm not sure why einstein is having such technical difficulties, but I'm moving over to rosetta as well.
