We had a fire at a chemical plant that I worked in. The fire was in the plant and I was in the IT building. I was pregnant at the time. And as you ladies know when you are 8 months pregnant your bladder is the size of pea. I was desperate. Of course, I had waited till the last minute. I told my manager that I did not care if I got burned up. I was going to use the restroom. And there was nothing he could do to stop me. Smart man refused to argue with me. I told him to go and I would be out there in less than two minutes. Took me 90 seconds to use the restroom and wash my hands. Maybe less. I was fast. I could not believe it. My manager had waited for me.

We stood outside of the building for an hour. Very little damage to the plant. No damage to the IT building. Thanks to my manager we did avert the tidal wave that would have happened if he had forced me out of that building.
