Hello my fellow knights,

I got two times sad news for ye all...

I will be leaving KWSN in the rosetta participation.

And here is why,

As i stated a halfyear ago my family is suffering from huntington's disease and took it's first victim last night. At the age of 69 and a fight of only 4 years my dad past away last night after being deteriorated by huntington's disease.

I will start a new team in his loving memory here in a small childish attempt to keep his spirit and name alive.

As i have 3 sisters who will develop huntington's too we will try to raise and reach as many peeple as we can to join the fight by giving their computer time to project like rosetta.

I am not gonna ask any1 to join me, but know i will still be here and my thoughts will allways be with KWSN but i have to do it this way. For me, and my family.

Esthalan, that's very sad news, and terribly traumatic for your family.
You're doing a wonderful thing by starting a Rosetta team in honour of your father and I hope that many shrubbers will join to help out.

I'm sorry to hear of your Father's passing....

I will add some Rosetta shrubs to your team.... it's a small thing for me to do I know, but when 100,000's of people all do it together we may one day find a cure......

Thx all for the warm responses,

At the moment im talking with the pres of a admin company, to see if his whole company is gonna run it since he knew my dad well too. Sure hope ill manage to get his 200+ pc offices to run here....

Im very honoured to see some of my fellow knights back with their shrubs in my team. thanks for that too

here's a link to a document to the Howard Hughes Medical Institute that fund's the Rosetta project. It prvides a good explanation of the projects aims in layman's terms. It's in english, but it might be worthwhile printing out a few copies for people who may ask questions......

Esthalan, I am really sorry for your loss. I can understand what you are going through maybe more than everyone else. I lost my dad to cancer, and he was 66 years old. It was the 6th February of 2005.

4 months earlier, in October 2004, I lost my grandfather to Alzheimer's disease. I admit my grandfather was in his nineties, but if you have not seen how Alzheimer's claims its victims, I pray you do not.

If/when I have another PC to add to BOINC I will add Rosetta and join your team.
