I want one...
Try this one for size:
4 motherboards, each with 2 dual-core Opterons.
Up to 4 x 16GB ECC RAM.
4 x SATA HDD's.
4 x 350W PSU's.
Runs Windows Computer Cluster Server 2003.
All that in a wide-ish tower unit (12.6"W x 26.7"D x 14"H), with a noise level of 45dB.
(That's basically 4 quad core machines in one box).
I reckon 4 of those (6kW!) should keep me warm this winter (while I start saving for the air-conditioning unit I'll need next summer).
BTW, for the die-hard Intel fans, there's a version with 5 x 2 x dual-core Xeons (i.e 20 cores), and there'll be another version soon which will take the to-be-announced (tomorrow) quad-core Xeon. Yep, that's 40 pretty quick crunchers under your desk!
Will it fit your wallet? A fairly basic unit will set you back a bit over $10,000, while a 40-core will be in the general region of $25,000. A mere trifle - I'll take a dozen of your finest, barsteward.
Must finish now, I've got to pop down the road to buy a lottery ticket - wish me luck. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

I don't need all three. Just one of the above will do.

mohrorless, you don't know anything about girls do you. This isn't RL, so we can toss a coin to see who gets who. Or we could share all three on a week-to-week basis.
RL is an entirely different matter, because they're all taken anyway. _________________ My brain hurts.

Dear Santa,
I have been such a good Knight this year. Would you be able to bring me one of these?
I would be so happy, and I would promise to take care of her by feeding and stroking her all day long............
