Over the last two days, there has been a huge increase in "Results in Progress", followed by a large drop this evening. This, and several other problems, have been due to the load & DB issues we've had over the last 2-3 days, which are now resolved. We tested a new Linux and BSD application, but when I removed the DB entries, any host on Linux or BSD attempted to grab work with no application to crunch with. These WU's were not reported back, which lead to a bigger and bigger (9,100+) queue of WU's that were doing nothing. They have all been invalidated, and Linux/BSD clients cannot get more work right now. Additionally, there is a large amount (probably close to 5000) of "phantom" workunits out as well. This is because of connection timeouts, etc. that we had when the load was spiking. The server assigned the work, but the client never got it. I'm looking into implementing a server-side check to confirm work is present, but in the mean time, things will just drop out on their own. Thanks for your patience - it's been a bumpy couple of days, but things seem to be back to normal.
