Sex and marriage with robots? It could happen
Robots soon will become more human-like in appearance, researcher says

Humans could marry robots within the century. And consummate those vows.
"My forecast is that around 2050, the state of Massachusetts will be the first jurisdiction to legalize marriages with robots," artificial intelligence researcher David Levy at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands told LiveScience. Levy recently completed his Ph.D. work on the subject of human-robot relationships, covering many of the privileges and practices that generally come with marriage as well as outside of it.
At first, sex with robots might be considered geeky, "but once you have a story like 'I had sex with a robot, and it was great!' appear someplace like Cosmo magazine, I'd expect many people to jump on the bandwagon," Levy said.

I doubt it's the bandwagon they'll be jumping on! _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Isaac Asimov wrote about it years ago. It's not a new idea, just that plastic blowup doll upgraded.
Also, do you remember the TV show "My Living Doll" with Julie Newmar and Bob Cummings? It was from the early '60's

As mentioned above, it's already been done in fiction. *shrug* I don't know if I like the sound of it, though. Would the 'robots' be capable of feeling emotions? I think not.
Seems to me like it would be rather empty and meaningless.
This kind of reminds me of a dream I had when I was in my late teens - early twenties (too long ago). There was this really cute guy but unfortunately he had a detachable head. Yes, I know it was bizarre! He could take his head off and replace it with a robot head, then he would actually become a robot and go around killing people. I remember all these people running from this darn robot dude, and I remember that I tried to hide on the floor in a dark cinema then I jumped into a full bath tub and tried to hold my breath under the water. This robot dude came into the bathroom and touched my head under the water and I actually felt an electric shock.
Strange dream, but a good exciting one. _________________ My brain hurts.
