Why do you say "first?" They specifically say right in the article that it wasn't the first. I don't even remember this game, but I played plenty in the genre like Zork.

I actually remember playing "Adventure' many many years ago. Embarassed
I do not remeber what type of computer was used.
I do remember meeting the 'Snake' and trying everything I could think of the pass it, but to no avail.
Eventually, someone suggested saying "*@#$ the Snake". Shocked Shocked
The reply was something like "Having sexual congress with a snake is not recommended and is decidedly kinky!!" Embarassed

Used to play it on a TI 990/12 Mini in the late 70's. Written in Fortran, it was more fun to hack than it was to play!

The link isn't working today. Sad

If this is what I think it is, I first played in on a Sigma 7 time sharing system back around 1976-77. I recall that it had many humorous responses when you tried to do something impractical. Smile

You can download the game if you want to play it mohrorless, just go to the bottom of the Wiki article.
