Hi all! I've spent a frantic 6 months in post production on our latest cd, and I do believe our online store is finally up and running. The tunes will be available on ITunes in a few months and oh heck let's get the list...
• itunes
• sony connect
• groove mobile
• groupie tunes
• emusic
• real networks
but you can go to our myspace page here:shindignation and click on the 2nd player that's under the MySpace player, in the about shindignation section; there you can hear all the songs to all three cd's and download any tunes you want for a minimal fee! Click on the "secure alternate checkout" and it will open a new page so you can listen and download if you want.
Tell all your friends, MySpace is definitely a popularity contest, they don't push you unless you get a lot of traffic to your page, and since we don't gig, we just write songs and make cd's, we have to try to promote ourselves any way we can.
So, raise a glass, the worst of this project is over for me!, (it's also the best) and shout NI! Lady K will be able to actually have a few conversations here!
If anyone wants a real CD, email me, and I'll give you the details.
What did I do on this CD? Good question. For those of you who don't know, I'm the "George Martin" of the band. I recorded, engineered, and orchestrated the tunes. I placed all the instruments, eq'd the sonic range and tried to find the "voice" of each tune. I sing on every tune, but you won't always know that it's me. I'm not the soulful voice, (although I do sing with Alison to create the gospel choruses, etc. added three harmonies to her two harmonies, multitracked it to make it sound like a lot of people.) Sometimes I sound like the Steve, and sometimes I sound like Denise, and sometimes I sound like me. Track 4 has a lot of me during the verses, and I'm the highest voice on the chorus. I also made the choir slowly fade on this track at the end to give the impression that the lead singer was walking away. On track 1 I tried to make the guitars and keyboard sound like cars going past; heavens, I made a thousand little adjustments to each song so you wouldn't hear any adjustments. Each track has my fingerprints all over it We were recording little fixes 3 days before we sent it out to be mastered. From start to finish this project took 2 years to do. So... I hope you enjoy it. This is the hardest work I ever do, and we never make money on it, but, it's the most rewarding work I've ever done as well.
See, I've made up for lost time started jabbering! I hope you enjoy it.
smoochies,
Lady K
