Is anyone having an issue similar to this:

I get a WU, shrub it, and then report. The BOINC client then will not request new work until I detach and reattach the SETI project.

I'm having no issues with Einstein or Rosetta, just S@H...

BTW, #ni-2

Check the logs and see what messages you're getting.

Are you over debt, and it's not asking for work? This is the main reason one project will not get work for a while.

These are the messages I am getting:

6/8/2007 8:02:31 AM|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user
6/8/2007 8:02:31 AM|SETI@home|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks)
6/8/2007 8:02:36 AM|SETI@home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 509]
6/8/2007 8:02:36 AM|SETI@home|Deferring communication for 11 sec
6/8/2007 8:02:36 AM|SETI@home|Reason: requested by project

I have suspended the SETI task I currently am shrubbing and run update to prompt for more WUs...

I am not sure what over debt means... can you elaborate?

Each project is allocated a certain percentage of time that it runs. So, i.e let's say that every project is allocated the same time. If SETI ran for 10 hours, Einstein for 3 and Rosetta for 5, then BOINC will request more work from Einstein and Rosetta to put them on equal percentages. So it will request work for 7 hours from Einstein, and 5 from Rosetta but none from SETI until the "debt" to other projects has been paid. This is just an example and not a very realistic one, since the times are different, but you understand the meaning I hope.

I think I get what you are saying... My setup is as follows:

SETI@Home - 80%
Rosetta@Home - 10%
Einstein@Home - 10%

How would that affect the "debt"?

If SETI has run uninterrupted for a long time, there is a debt that has to be paid to Einstein and Rosetta. So, in 10 hours, you are supposed to do 8 hours of SETI, 1 hour of Einstein and 1 hour of Rosetta. If SETI, however, has run for a long time, then a debt has risen that has to be paid to Rosetta and Einstein. So BOINC would not download work for SETI, until this debt has been paid.

For example if SETI has run for 80 hours, then BOINC will not download any more work from SETI, because Einsten needs to run for 10 hours, and Rosetta for another 10. This is what debt means. BOINC has a debt to Einstein and Rosetta. When the debt is paid then SETI will get more work.
