Here is a sobering statistic!
Regardless of where you stand on the issue of U.S. involvement in Iraq, here is a sobering statistic. There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,867 deaths - a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period. Therefore, you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

When Da-Grizz was in the "Forces" , more squadies(*) were killed on exersize(*) than were even "Shot" at , let alone killed or wounded in all of the "real" operations conn'ducted by HMAF in the same period !!
Conclusion :
DO NOT EXERCISE !!

Lies, bloody lies and statistics!
I'm pretty sure Washington D.C. is a bad place to live, but those figures doesn't add up. _________________

They don't have to add up, the fact is that it is even "belivable", says a lot about the US, that we are even willing to admit those figures might be right.

There are areas in the US where that is completely believeable....however for the most areas in the US it would not be true. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Ive not specifically researched it, but it doesn't sound unbelievable. When I moved out of central California Fresno was averaging 1 murder every three days for the year(1997) and I don't think it was more than 300k people at the time. That 40 per 100k for the year and while I wouldn't call it the safest place in the world we also didn't consider it to be downtown L.A. levels either, so 80 per 100k while stupidly bad sounds possible. _________________
