I ahve a question that will be very simple for you loooneys. Shall I get more speed in computing WU's if I enlarge my RAM memory? I suppose so, but I'm not completely sure.
One of the machines in which I'm running BOINC is quite old (5 or 6 years) and it has only 256 MB RAM. The CPU is AMD Athlon 1,24 GHz.

it all depends on what projects you run.... some projects require a large amout of memory (Rosetta and CPDN come to mind) and some don't... if you check the performance tab on task manager. it sohould tell you the available physical memory... that said 256mb is a little low for XP and definately not enough for VISTA....
