But if you run out of work, it will likely download the standard app and crunch with that from then on. Or, it may just generate a few hundred ghost work units. Still waiting for the server side fix, even tho it's really kicking butt on my RAC.

According to some of the posts the optimized app is still running, even after getting new app.

My figuring is that I am shrubbing SETI now for the 1st time in 3 weeks vs not shrubbing SETI at all. If it reverts to the standard app, then I will wait until I see that they have corrected the issues and then re-optimize.

Another Update!

It is still running. Uploading/downloading & shrubbing. It appears to still be running the optimized shrubber.

Don't thank/blame me. I just followed what was suggested on the SETi forum. Others came up with that solution.

All I did was rename app_info.xml to something different. Renamed it back, and updated and now it's downloading fine, and will use the optimized application for all new downloads.

I didn't rename the app_info yet. It says it is running the optimized app. It has been shrubbing, returning and getting new WUs, so I don't know what is going on.
