Just got my 1st Vista machine. Installed Latest BOINC on it. It has been trying to download SETI for 2 days.

I am sitting on a fractional T3 (12meg) - it's downloading at 0.06 Kbps.

Any ideas?

Well, SETI appears to be down at the moment, as I've got work that won't report.

I don't know why it would have any communication problems, I've not read of that. I have read that Vista is very aggressive about shutting down though, so you have to shut down BOINC first by hand or you can corrupt work units.

My laptop is running vista & I have had no problems with Seti, Einstein, or Rosetta (that's all I'm running on it) either with getting wu's, reporting them or shutting down either.

try resetting the project, that sometimes helps...

Weird... I brought the laptop home, hooked it up to my DSL, and it downloaded everything lickety split....
