We are in spring... Athens had 26 Celsius maximum temperature today (78.8 Fahrenheit) and the Sun was shining. There was a bit of a chilly wind still, so no time for full fledged summer clothing, but light spring clothing is in order. _________________

NYC is topping out around 50F (10C) today. Started out around 38F (3.33C). Last week it snowed a bit almost every day (thankfully it did not stick though). _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Ah yes ... the tourist population is thinning out and the hotels rates are in full bloom ... trade winds are blowing through the coconut palms ... must be spring ... time to get the other slippahs (aka flip-flops) out of storage. _________________ Klaatu... verata... n... I'm afraid your scantily clad young lady looks rather pale and stonefaced. You really shouldn't put them up on pedestals like that! \

Head high surf continues for the Puna & Ka'u coast with that mix of E - SSE window of swells....The North facing shores have a fringe of NW - NNW, and the E windswell on the wrap, with better conditions today, so check it out if you can...East facing shores with the E windswell, and will see a slight drop from the local source with the shorter period span....Leeward shores for the Kona & S.Kohala coast are looking fairly minimal, but could see some mild Westerly energy pushing in today from a far source, and should be short lived.....Aloha _________________ Klaatu... verata... n... Time for us Way South of the Border to speak up! Autumn ("Fall" for you Anglo-Americans ) here - scantily clad damsels have strted cladding at 20 C here.
Same as for Michelle and co. across the puddle to our west, winter will be upon us.
If the Globe Warms as predicted even Horatio may yet shed his coat. _________________ tilting windmills, rescuing damsels, etc |
