I'm talking with the World Community Grid folks to get the dead account currently marked as team captain bumped. No luck yet, but I believe they will be willing to do it soon. That said, the problem is that as soon as they bump the current captain it will add a link that, whomever clicks first, will automatically make them the new captain. Needless to say, this could be bad juju.

SO... While I'll be checking my email regularly, it probably wouldn't hurt if someone who'd like to be in charge of the WCG team would keep an eye on the site: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=4G5RSMBR9N1 so that you can be ready to click the link.

BTW, you can drop out of captain at any time, so even if you don't want to run the team, but you see the link, click it ASAP just to avoid someone else getting it. You can then arrange to drop it when someone else is ready to pick it up.

Update: The admin type person I've been working with is out of the office until Thursday, but the change will likely take place then. What's been holding it up this far is they had the wrong team (the copycat team) which does have an active captain. I think we're past the confusion now, but we'll see hehe.

They changed the captain to me, rather than just opening it up like would normally happen. I've fixed the capitalization (The knights who say Ni! vs The Knights Who Say Ni!), set the description (based on our SETI team description), and set this forum as the home page for the team. If anyone would like something changed, just let me know. And if someone in charge would like me to hand over the team, just give the word.
