Hello its Nutz ere.
Just wanted to pop my head through the door (it wont fit )
I am well happy with my seti crunching right now. It was helped recentley by the quad corus one but that is only a very small part of the quest for better crunching.
Here is a graph showing my step to overall crunching.
The large step is not due the quad corus one it is due optimised code and it realy does make the difference this can be seen on the graph below. This shows my E6600 running none optimised code before the 10th of March at this time it was munching 900units a day after I used the specific Conroe code 2.2 the average shot up to 1750 units an increase of 94%.
This would indicate the quad corus one would not be giving me 5000 units a day as it currently does but only 2600 max without that wonderful sse3 optimised code.
My D945 as also improved using using the 2.2 optimised dualcore code on it.
and this as gone up from 650 to 1350 interesting shown a higher step than the conroe specific code.
To conclude in my case its NOT the hardware that makes the difference tis the holy code of antiyock that wins the quest of the alien ones.

Hi Sir Nutz......
the scaling issues of quad cores id down to L2 cache coherency.... see my post about it. try using crunch3rs cpu_affinity boinc client to see if that helps.....

The Affinity caperable application crashes on my machine every couple of hours or so and the times look quite similar to before. I have now reverted back to the standard Boinc software using the 2.2 seti enhanced client.
