Well its up and shrubbing. I'm still fiddling with settings and haven't actually mounted the hard drives yet(Going for an elastic mount and haven't decided where to attach to the case yet). But knowing that I had a really fast processer just doing nothing while I was pondering the build was driving me insane. Want to see how much faster an E6400 is than my other systems.
Ah, put this system on Rosetta and Seti for now.
Ok I am starting to love this. Waiting for the system to get a bigger shrub but its done 4 WUs so far all around 14-15 credits at about 20 minutes a pop. Beyond that its been running full tilt for about an hour and a half and is running 32 degrees C while making almost no noise at all _________________

*laughing maniacally*
Ok I know this is a bit unfair on the old system since the new shrubber has seemingly been getting a lot of smaller shrubs, but my main desktop has been running since February 11th and has 61 results(58 done, 3 currently queued). My new machine has 53 results in tiny hair over 24 hours. (48 done, 5 queued). _________________

*grins* Hey my RAC is still showing as below yours for now at least .
And if anyone wants a parts list for what I am hoping is an utterly brilliant home theater PC that will be getting hooked up to an HD TV shortly and only ran me a hair over $1200 just let me know. _________________

That Core2 6400 should add to your RAC roughly what your RAC is now.
I see a Core2 running Vista in your host stats, but it's got no RAC hehe. I'd do more digging, but trying to search on BOINCStats makes visions of 300 baud acoustic couplers appear in my head. Sheesh the site has gotten slow, almost to the point of uselessness. _________________

Assuming that outsiders can see that info those are the Computers Belonging to me for my Seti stats. The new system is doing about 76% seti, 24% rosetta I think at the moment. Its showing about 600 credit at the moment but there is a big pile of pending work as well. _________________

New shrubber for me, also!
I was tired of my P4 2.8G HT laptop. It was only getting about a 300RAC, whereas my 1.8G is getting over 250, and the 2.8 non-HT is getting over 375. So I felt time to retire this machine. I already am starting the process. Stopped all SETI and Einstein, and keeping CPDN running until I can move the process to the new laptop when it arrives. Core 2 Duo 2.0G T7200. I have not looked, but I estimate this to have an RAC of over 1000. So I am gaining around 700 RAC with this. The new unit will have 2G of memory, and Vista (unsure I am happy about this, but I need to learn it anyway). I will then move the CPDN unit over, then attach back to the other two projects and let it rip.
The laptop will go up for sale. If someone here is interested, PM me and give me idea of price with shipping you'd be willing to pay.
Here is what it is:
Toshiba A75-206 2.8G HT laptop, 1G of memory (shared 128M video memory), 17" widescreen, 60G HD, Windows XP Home, has wireless b/g built in. It still has over a year of warranty left from Best Buy. I can include the paperwork so that if warranty work is needed.
I will include: USB laptop cooler (three fan cooler that sits under the laptop to help cool), Linksys wireless B router (I believe model BEFW11S4 unsure version), 4 port USB 2.0 D-Link powered hub, and laptop bag that fits the large unit.
I will not be ready to ship out until the week of 19-Mar.
If no one takes it here, I'll ebay it.
[edit]Added the carrying bag.[/edit]
[edit]No need to PM me, sold the laptop, already![/edit] _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

And it's got 4 MB L2 cache. Your RAC will probly be above 1000 with the Core 2. I know what you mean by getting tired of your P4 laptop because I'm using a P4 HT laptop too. It'll be retired soon though, very soon.
