|
|
These pictures were taken after a recent snow storm in Newfoundland on the East Coast of Canada.
There's a car down there somewhere.
I've got the driver's windows & mirror cleared.
Are you lot all gonna want a lift after this?
The driveway's here somewhere.
The car's just about clear, now, where's the bloody road??

Nice pics. Geesh, that really looks like a lot of work I imagine that it was EXTREMELY cold at the time too. |

Nah, when it gets that cold it stops snowing. Has to warm up to snow really well.
Of course cold is relative. As in it's a good place to send relatives you don't care for. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

I just find myself wondering why you would need the car dug out when the snow is that deep? Looks like a good excuse to stay home. Or were the PGGB's in the trunk? _________________

So it's like a repeating cycle of punishment. Just when you think it's all over and gets warmer, it starts snowing again. |

It's worse than that, If you don't get out and shovel it right away it gets very cold and then the snow turns into Granite. _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

True, very true.. Especially if it's a heavy wet snow, which then freezes overnite. Other than that.. drifting snow is the only other bad one once it piles up. |

If you look at the surrounding area in those pictures, there doesn't appear to be a lot of snow.
What did they do? Park in a ditch? _________________

It's a drift, you can see the wind marks in some of the pictures. I've seen houses buried in drifts here. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

Maybe it was in a 'no parking'zone - they wanted to get at the number plate to write the ticket?
Anyway - snow sucks (and yes, you can suck a vanilla ice cream - and snow for that matter - but snow sucks in the I-can-do-without-it sense) _________________ tilting windmills, rescuing damsels, etc |
