I'm ready to throw this PC out the window. I have been getting this error code message for 2 days, don't have a clue what is going on.
"error establishing an encrypted connection to secure worldcommunitygrid.org. error CODE: -8075"

In wonderful Micropuke Windows I can't find this damn error code.

Help anyone..... #evil #evil #evil #evil #Mad #Mad #Mad #Mad

Unfotunatly that I won't be of any help. I have uninstalled IE7 on many machines because of how it affects them.

Start - Control Panel - Add Remove Programs - scroll down find ie7 and say remove.

It's an error building/establishing an HTTPS session.

I don't know what the option is in IE7, but in Firefox try this:
Go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Encryption, Verification, and make sure "Do not use OCSP to verify certificates" is selected.

See if it makes any difference.

Hmm. I am having no problems with IE 7, except for when I try to go to the design view in Visual Studio 05, and ASP web app. When I do that somethng is causing VS05 to crash. People at work aren't getting the problem. I am at a loss.

API problem? If it's giving a specific error code (you may have to go look in your application log) you can probably find it on Google.

Where would I find the log? There was no error message It just gave me that wind the Microsquish gives now about encountering an unexpected error and needs to shut down (with the button to send the data to them - I don't think so).

You're awfully paranoid. They're software developers, of course they want the memory dump, it's the only way to have half a clue what went wrong. Of course, not that YOU will see any benefit from that, as they'll likely slate it to be fixed... in a patch... for Windows 2011.

At any rate, to see the logs, go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. This is for classic mode, I have no idea where it is in the other mode because I hate it and promptly switch back to classic any time I see the other. Twisted Evil

Not paranoid. Microsquish has said they will be nice, but they don't have the track record for it.

Anyway this is what I got from the event log:
Quote:
Faulting application devenv.exe, version 8.0.50727.42, stamp 4333e699, faulting module urlmon.dll, version 7.0.5730.11, stamp 45516526, debug? 0, fault address 0x00002f7d.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I follow the link and allow it to send the error info to the site and this is what I get:
Quote:
Details
Event ID: 1000
Source: Microsoft Visual Studio

We're sorry
There is no additional information about this issue in the Error and Event Log Messages or Knowledge Base databases at this time. You can use the links in the Support area to determine whether any additional information might be available elsewhere.

Visual Studio.NET ?? Now I'm jealous - we're still using Visual Studio 6.0 (Copyright on it says 1994-1998) until we can roll out some new hardware... Rolling Eyes

Emacs? vi? Spoiled programmers. Assembly and ed is where it's at. ed is the standard editor.
