In typical KWSN fashion we lollygagged whilst our enemy put on their best effort, and then showed them the PROPER way to run about knees bent silly advance! _________________

Well we're under a week to go and I'm really laying it on today! Going for a full 2 million URLs for today. We shall blow past them so fast, they won't realize it until we are long gone and all that remains is the essence of Sir Fart!

Well I can definitely say I helped! Got up to somewhere in the 2.2 million URLs range.
Can we start taunting yet?
Edit: Holy handgrenade! I am currently the #11 user for the day on the whole project! I expect that will change shortly but I will revel in it while it lasts |

well I just checked and you are now in 9th place and I am in 15th.
Also I was going to bitch that I just can't hit 2 million when I looked and saw that I broke 2 million yesterday for the first time.
Rock on KWSN We are at 10+ million at 1pm Eastern. 6 more hours to go today.
PS: I just broke into the top 100....... _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

No response from the Crunchkins either. They seem willing to let us roll over them . I performed a brief visitation upon them, it would have been more effective had I logged in first . _________________ Ni ! Ni !

Let's lighten up on the AMD bashing. While Intel has (finally) surpassed AMD in game performance (at least for the time being), I still think AMD represents good "bang for the buck" This evidenced by my precipitous rise in the standings since getting started back up with SETI enhanced recently, using a low-budget AMD rig.
Am I saying I have the fastest computer on the block (or will ever have such a machine)? Certainly not. Is my rank even in the same zip code as all you all with really fast computers? Certainly not, nor is it likely to ever be there.
What I'm saying is, I started with a case and floppy disk I had on hand, and acquired the other parts for a complete system: an SLI mobo with built-in hardware firewall (which even included a nifty temperature readout/USB/Firewire/multimedia/CMOS reset panel), decent PCIE card, new Ultra PSU, new CPU, new DL Lightscribe DVD burner, new 250 GB SATA II drive, at a total cost of maybe half (or less) of what people routinely pay for a high-performance video card alone.
Since Dual Core socket 939 CPUs have come down to a comparable price to what I paid for my single-core not all that long ago, I am seriously considering getting another mobo, etc. to build a second, mostly SETI-shrubbing rig with my present CPU, and putting the new FX CPU in my existing one.
Then let's see who's the cost-effective shrubber around here ;^) _________________

Guess who cracked the top 10 (for today for our team, of course, not overall) in MJ12 when I just checked?
And if you knew the specs of the machine I'm running this on, you would probably fall out of your chair laughing (it's not my main rig). Just goes to show that this app is all about bandwidth, though my DSL isn't all that fast, as far as such things go. _________________
