I don't know if I am wrong here, but it seems that there is a lot of spam posts croping up in the forum lately.

They seem to keep ending up in the Gorge too...(though not really enough)

Here is a list of posters that I think may be just here to spam:

They're popping up faster than bunnies multiplying, but our Admins are whacking them even faster. Ignore them, they are not lou-knees, they are certifiablly insane. Twisted Evil

My opinion is, PM the Admins and not post/acknowledge them at all. If they see we are posting about them, it just may encourage them to spew their nastiness. JMO, MOO. Shocked

Spammers get paid per email addy and click, so they send as many as possible. If we knew who their ISP was, we could complain and maybe get their site shut down. I've been know to do that a time or 2. Some domains have strict rules about spammers.

It is annoying and I HATE IT, so we just let the powers that be kick their azzes off here. Laughing

If they only knew how we make fun of them, laugh at them and make sure we nebver buy their products, maybe they would wise up. Women are the biggest offenders of this spam and the other spammers wish they were wimmin, since they have to strap on a set just to get noticed.

I've PM'ed SHoE a with a few of the spammers, to let him know. & he has PM'ed back about taking care of them. He has been busy with that I know.

What is it about the Gorge? That is where they keep going. They must look at the topic names and think that type of skite is on that page.

The jackasses drive ya nuts!
I always had a problem with heaps of spam coming through my hotmail addy, and never had a problem with the yahoo addy.
Now it's swapped around and I'm getting only a few coming through hotmail but heaps and heaps coming through the yahoo. Confused

It's a real pain because yahoo is the main one I use for family and friends.

These spammers need a confirmation email when they sign up for their forum account, don't they. I wish there was some way we could all sign up for a 'fake' freebie email addy that we could use to bombard the spammers with crap to give them a taste of their own medicine.
Unfortunately, we'd probably all receive it back tenfold. Rolling Eyes

Tell me once again that you don't find BritneNude intriguing... And make it convincing.

They do it because it works. If only a very small fraction respond then they make money. And blocking ISPs isn't all that effective any longer because many of them are sent from hijacked home systems that are completely unaware they have been compromised.

I think the admins do an admirable job of keeping it all in check.

btw because of the spammers I disabled the 'register' option in the backup forum. Registering there should be done by PM-ing one of the admins here or mailing me....
