As you may know, we use phpBB, rather than BOINC's built in forum, as our forum software. Until now, a user had to sign up for BOINC and then for our forums. While not a 100%, on-registration synchronization of the BOINC and phpBB databases, we have taken a step in the right direction. Instead of two separate signups now, you can send over your username and password from the BOINC pages. Click on "Your Account" and then on "phpBB User Sync", and you will be able to set up your phpBB account. One thing to note is that you have to reenter all the information because 1) phpBB allows only 25-character usernames and 2) the passwords are stored differently. All other phpBB settings will need to be done throug the phpBB profile pages, however, as the script is not that advanced. If you have any questions, comments, or troubles, please let us know.
