this seems to be a new alpha project but I can't seem to join, it says somethinga about needing an invite code,

how do I go about gettig one?

They have been out of shrubs for a few days, trying to isolate some bugs I believe, before issuing more. I think they disabled new account creation until then, so as soon as they have some to send out, they will probably open it up again.

Despite the bugginess (it is after all very early in the alpha testing), it is still a cool project. The devs are really good about monitoring the message boards and replying quickly. They have apps for Win (2k & XP work for sure), Linux, and Macs, but there have been vastly fewer problems with users running Windoze. If you are looking for credits, run Win, if you are more interested in helping them work out kinks, run Linux - they are really hungry for as many Linux distros as they can get it tested on. Macs for the moment are stalled until they can get the app ironed out. Also, for some reason, it doesn't seem to do well on older systems. If you decide to crunch for this project, these may be determining factors in which host(s) you attach to it.

I'll be happy to let you know when they are sending out more WU. You should be able to get in then, and help our small team kick some butt! A Shrubbery has us in 5th place I believe, so we have a pretty good start.

I've gotten the admin over at Docking to send out invitation codes. Looks like Booty and me will both be given one. So, since I will only have one and want it to go to someone who will be active in an Alpha project with all it's flaws, pick a number between 1 and 42.

It's possible the code will work for more than one person, guess we'll just have to see. You can always bribe Booty since she should get one as well.

Seems the code is good until they get about 50 more users. PM me if you havn't seen it by now (check your mailbox too).

And bring as many non-Windows hosts as you can. Mac preferred, Linux too. Best if you have an assortment.

I would like a code as well so I can beat Michelle in the number of projects that I run. Also I have experience running alpha rpojects and BOINC makes it a lot easier.
