argh.
I'm having problems setting up my BOINCstats account, can't find any way to post a question there about it, and was wondering if someone here could help or send an email address of [BOINCstats] Willie, or something.
I registered for an account there, got my activation email and apparently activated it. When I activated the account, I was able to add a project, edit my account settings etc. I received my confirmation email from BOINCstats. I logged out, but when I tried to login again I got the incorrect login page. Then I entered my email address in the box provided to have my account information emailed to me. Received the info, which was the same that I had tried to login with. Tried again, no love.
Is there a problem with BOINCstats or me?
thanks |

Not to reply to my own post, but I checked back after a few hours and I was able to login successfully. |

Ya see!! Us looney/looney/loonies knew you would get it figured out.
Most of these loonies(tm) don't have the answers, I asked last week or so about some place to go download IRC so I could get on the channel so I could spread my good will and such. I guess they didn't want me doing that, so they put me on ignore. I still son't know where to go and do that. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

Download mirc.exe, google it. Install it.

Aha, another challenge for me I'll add that to my list. Right now I'm working on adding the stats signature, then it's on to avatars. _________________

About the avatar, I have one loaded off-site. It looks like it's ok to link to one off-site in the Profile section. I'm not sure if you need to post something new to see the avatar, or if it will appear on old posts (doesn't appear to be the case). Hence the reason for this rambling _________________

Yes, when you install your avatar it will show up in all your post, old and new. See I'm smarter than the average bear. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

I had such a time with the avatar! My own problem, the site where I keep the avatar didn't allow remote linking... until now
Next, I have a headless Knight that I need to install the client on and learn about running on command line. Already printed out the command line options, now it's Play Time. _________________

Sir hammerlund, go store your pictures and stuff at www.imageshack.us
signup and you can persoanlize your stuff. I've used this site for ages. When you upload, you can tell it if it is a avatar, forum picture or anything else you want to use it for.
Hope this helps. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

Thanks Sir alpha for the link! I am the webmaster for a couple of websites and am able to store files and images there. I had hotlink protection set so that only those sites I allow can link to images stored there.
I had forgotten about this feature, so when I was trying to link to the avatar stored there it wouldn't display. I think it's all resolved now though.
I definitely keep the imageshack site in mind for the future though. Thanks again! _________________
