About time, considering I went back to my normal mode of shrubbing (much slower than for the contest) and I have over 450 in pending credit.

Yes, I agree it was about time, some of those shrubs were hanging about for nigh on a week (and I've still got 400 in the bag, waiting to be planted).

What, you increased your output during the contest! Well, knock me down with a feather. I thought such shenanigans were beyond the honourable Company of kNi!ghts! And there was me thinking it was a fair contest. Laughing

But you're lucky the contest was over a week or so ago; my 4600x2 has just arrived back (broken heatsink clip), so if you'll excuse me, I'll bid you a fond farewell and let you choke in my dust as I zoom off into the sunset.

Ok, it's back. I'll race you to 50,000,000.99! Rolling Eyes

You're on. Laughing

I estimate this particular race should finish on Oct. 16th, 2641. I don't suppose you know of any reliable body-freezing companies?

2641, I was thinking it might take us until Y3K!

As for the freezer:

Close, but just a couple of points: I could do with something big enough to take my head and legs, not just my chest. And I don't think I'm going to need any food baskets during my hibernation. Laughing

I think we've hi-jacked Sir Fart's Rosetta thread; should we give it back now?

Actually, there's another race I think you might win:

Al Dente: Joined: 24 Feb 2006 - Posts: 546 (1.96 posts/day)

In a (probably) vain attempt to boost my RAC a bit, I've started a new ultra-competitive thread. Might be right up your street.

The food baskets are for anything you might want to take with you - like pets.

The heck with Farty pants. He wimped out in the battle with the ladies, he doesn't get any of his threads back until he shows up to defend what's left of his honor.

It's a distinct possibility.

Al dente,

you've forgotten to take Moore's law into account......

when we all start running these things we'll all be producing 10000's of shrubs a day on each pc......

Sir John: Not so fast there, laddie. I was about to step in, when I realised my feet wouldn't fit. So you can put that hammer & nails away for a little while yet.

Sir Brian: Surely by then, all machines will be quantum computers, i.e. no matter what data you feed in, the answer comes out as "42". (And Moore's law would give a typical machine RAC of 17,179,869,184,000!)

I suppose an alternative scenario might be quantum machines popping into and out of existence as Microsoft "Scroedinger 2500" (delivered only 138 years late) continues to be plagued with minor "critical errors".

Do you really expect us to believe that your "feet" are that big?

Aaaaargh Mad !

We finally made the front page of the Rosetta world ranking but it appears we're going to lose it to the Univ. of Wisconsin, them cheeseheaded, beer-swilling bastards Mad . Longer term we'll get it back but we need a brief spurt to overtake the AMD Abusers to stay on the front page where we rightly and Knightly belong. So, if you can, throw some ( if only temporary) BOINC resources towards Rosetta Cool .

With Einstein being down, more of my recourses are automatically diverted to Rosetta.

Shouldn't those people from Wisconsin be more worried about eating cheese than Rosetta.
