What percentage of processor time do I dedicate to each of them. 1 works and the other one stops and I have to switch each from time to time. I want them to both work at the same time, is this possible?

Inquiring minds want and need to know. #ni-1

You can only run both at the same time if you have more than one processor.

However, you cannot specify that, BOINC handles the work assignment depending on several things that get way too complicated to fully explain. Check the Wiki if you really really want to know.

Anyway, BOINC will automatically make sure that each gets the % you request over the long term. Just decide how much you want to devote to each project and assign your resources accordingly.

I always set my resource share to the same % for all projects.
