I've jsut disabled rosetta as soon as it run out of shrubs

BTW 2 days and 100000 WU's taken up.

Code:

Total needed       Already done          Work still remaining
6,731,410 units   6,240,279 units     491,131 units
100 %                92.704 %             7.296 %
180.0 days         166.9 days           13.1 days (estimated)

looks like others have had the same idea.... at this rate they run out in 10 days and not 13.......

The estimate was more like 14.5 days yesterday or so... It's definitely dropping by more then 1, as each day goes by... Would be funny if they were out of work within 7 days #ni-1

Tis easy, Sir Brian (although it took me a while to suss how it works).
Go to Einstein and add new a new profile (say Work) and set it's contact rate fairly low (say 5 days), leaving everything else the same. Leave Rosetta on the default profile (with a high contact rate, say 0.5 day), then switch your Einstein machines to the Work profile (drop-down box at the bottom). The profiles will propogate through to all your projects as they contact base.

It will. Well, not so much the resource share, but setting one of the venues on the Einstein account page to a 5 day cache size, but leaving the default profile as well your default cache size setting...

In this case, on Einstein itself, you set the machine ID which corresponds to all your computers to use that alternate profile. Leave all other projects on the default profile. As far as BOINC is concerned, each computer ID might represent a different machine/client (to the server), even though it's the same physical box...

Meh, they're almost at 100k and falling... They estimated about 2.8 days last time I checked, but wouldn't count on it necessarily. When more peeps see it almost gone, even more might pile them final WUs up #ni-1

Don't you think they will have the S5 ready to go before this is done and so there is no shortage of WU's?

Yeah, they're already doing it

if you look at thw WU's there use to be S4r2 in the WU name,

the S5's WU's have S5r1a in the fWU Name

here's my first

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/result.php?resultid=34187881

They're appearing to go back the to unoptimised processing times which should be back up to about 3-4 hours for me, from 35 minutes......

Any way everyone should reduce any cache sizes whilst the boinc client relearns how long a WU should take, other wise you'll end up having a huge cache of s5 WU's that will expire beforee you can process them... Sad Sad
