Hey, for my birthday, the Mrs is getting me a tattoo, I opened my mouth one day and say you can't get one unless i get one, thinking that might stop her.. Well slowed her down by a couple of years, so now i have an appointment in a little over a month to get inked. But I am unsure as what to get.. Some suggestions would be nice, even though I know there will be a ton of Monty python suggetions.. Initial thought was this but instead of a pitchfork a cigar, and have them clean up the dragon a bit, looks a bit freaky.

Yes, we only act immature! Most of us are more than old enough to know better.
You should go with the old standby, the Hello Kitty tattoo. It's a timeless classic:
Usual locations for it include the forehead and/or genitals. Good luck! |

Depend a little on which type you are getting. They have become very popular the last 10 years, with a number of trends being either interesting, cute, uninteresting or unappealing.
Both I and Spousal Unit have on occasion toyed with the idea of getting one each, but we have different views on what a "good" tattoo is.
Arm - Only if you go for a tribal style design of some sort, the band around the upper arm is quite popular, and for the most part does not look wrong.
Leg - I would not, legs should ankle area only, should be small, should be woman only, and should be cute design (Dolphin, Smily fac etc.)
Shoulder - I would not. Shoulder is a sailor from the 1950ies, or some of the young gangsterapperssportstarswannabees.
There is No Number 4 - I agree
Chest - That is where I keep telling Spousal Unit I would have one, were I to get one, sort of above the heart.
Lower Back - NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, it is called a Trampstamp, it is only shown by women, who by the very act of getting it there, degrade themself to status of slut. No no no no....
Buttt wait there is 1 more - Yeah, but that is the one that would be for your and your wife only. Wife to get one strategically placed on her front side, where only would ever see it.
Do not get anything with words or writing. Especially do not get anything written in a language you do not read. Could be that it actually say something else than "Eternal Love".
Think forward. If you get one, it is there for eternity. Consider that it will fade to an extent, it will smudge to an extent, and colours will disappear to an extent.
I still do not have one, Spousal Unit still do not have one. We may or may not get one. I can only recommend waht I just wrote in the the "do not's", the actual tattoo that you may get, should be a design that fit you as a person, and not something one of your fellow NI!ghts force on to you.

There is only one right way to do this. Deep down, you already know what tattoo you want and where you want it. To find out your heart's true desire, you first must get obscenely drunk and then proceed to the tattoo parlour. Only when you awake the next day will you realise what you have decided on. Bon chance!

Cute dragon, mines a little traditional. Got mine in '77 so some fading but the colors are pretty good. By the way more than gang bangers and '50 sailors get the shouders. Just make sure it's deep and they'll last well.

I have a brainfart!!!!!!!!!! Shave the very back of your head, make it a nice little round spot, and have a tattoo of an EYE!!!!! People won't look at you when they are behind you, and you can always turn around and say, , I see you............. _________________ I secretly raise RABBITS as an elite strike group for rescuing penguins who are kidnapped and held against their will in French castles located in England. Great idea Schnellfritz, I never saw one like this, but I saw one with an Eye on the nape... that was nice...
Myself, I have 3 tattooes, one on the upper left side of my back of the symbol "Anarchy" (Red and nice, with "fire").
Second one is of my Zodiac - Aquarius, on my right leg.
The third one is an ancient Celtic symbol painted in blue on my right arm... I adore tattooes... that's my dark side...
That's an example of something like whatI have on my arm... more or less, that's the style...

I heard 'bout one young guy who shaved his head and got a spider tattoo there. He didn't count on hair loss and now, as he put it, "more is revealed each year". Ni!
Here's a modest suggestion for your tattoo from http://www.inklinestudio.com/

I'm older than '75, soon I plan to be older than dirt but for now I'll settle for older than mold.
Always wanted a tattoo but I could never afford the one I wanted until they were so popular that now I feel I'd be following the crowd.
So, guess it's the full body suit for me then.
And as for where to get it: There is no spoon. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.
