I'm so far removed from the story you are all talking about to be confused over which year I'm watching.
All I know is there are characters called The Doctor and Rose. Anyone care to enlighten me on how many years back I am?

None at all, really. The Doctor and Rose are together in both the '05 and '06 seasons, which aired in the UK in the spring of each year. In Australia, Michelle just saw the first part of the '06 season finale. In the USA, SciFi channel just aired the first episodes of the '06 season.

My bad, it was Romana. At least that last Daalek got to do some serious damage to the humans. Somehow I suspect it wasn't really the last one.

April 2007- almost May.
The anticipation of the next season of the good Doctor is just about driving me nuts, and I think we still have at least 2 - 3 months to wait.
Has it started anywhere else yet?

I thought it might have started in England by now. That's the way it was last year too. England, then Australia, then U.S. and Canada.
We still don't have Torchwood here yet.

Finally!!! I saw 'Torchwood' advertised as coming soon to Channel 10. I don't know how soon but at least it's coming.
I wish Doctor Who would hurry up and come back.

Ok, now that i have my DVR wonderfully recording I do believe the 3rd season from CANADA.. Since i missed a lot of episodes what happened to Rose did she die, decide to just not ride in the tardis anymore????

Yep, playing happy families with mum and dad. I hated the way the Doctor disappeared just as they were about to declare their love for each other.
I'm a bit of a softie about that sort of thing.
We have the movie length Runaway Bride coming up next Thursday night (28th) and then the new season starting on Saturday (30th). Can't wait!!
Torchwood started last Monday night, and it was the best show I've seen since LFN, dark but unlike LFN because it had the humour as well. I love Heroes too but Torchwood is better! They looked quite Nikita-ish in their long coats. lol I did love the humour. When Gwen Cooper walked in with that pizza and they all went about their business and ignored her, and then all started laughing! That was great. Then when Jack gave her something in her drink so that she would forget everything, and said that the worst part was that she would forget him too.   Such a gorgeous man, and he knows it too. Loved all the characters in that show and really looking forward to the next ep.
