The other day I got a 12,500 frame WU. 2076 A21 agbnp Amber. Even on my fast machine it won't be done until the end of January. Is this a normal WU and why is the credit so low for a hugh WU? #ni-1

Nosy people want to know. Laughing

I've just finished a big 12,500 one like that, Alpha. I'm not even sure how long it took because I don't really keep track of how long the WUs take unless it appears to be taking exceptionally long.
Mine took a few days possibly even a week, but certainly nowhere near as long as the one you've got. Shocked

I've had a few p2076 before...

wasn't anything unusual with them...

try to see if you're running with 'SSE Boost on' in your FAHlog.txt
if your computer can obtain SSE boost yet it doesn't write so in the log, try to re-run the client with the flag: -forceasm to make the client force optimization...

doesn't make any sense for this kind of unit to run almost 3 weeks... no chance...

This is what's in my log file. Where can I put the SSE boost?

I don't see the SSE boost, it doesn't look good at all, the log...

check if your cpu is really going like 99% to the fahcore...

and try to run the client with the -forceasm flag too and let me see your log...

It shouldn't run for SO LONG... even without the SSE boost...
p1851, this unit is kinda tiny...

see that there's no other proccess that catches all the cpu time of fahcore instead... maybe that's the problem.

I think it may be the SOB thats causing the long time frames. I am telling the SOB to finish and not get another work assignment until I figure out if thats the problem. Thxs.

SoB will take the lions share of the spare CPU cycles from FAH
(FAH runs at a very very low task priority, so gets thrashed by almost anything else you do on the computer).
I only run another project alongside FAH on multi processor and/or hyperthreaded systems as these split the time better between the projects.

I have F@H on at maximum and SoB on at Idle. Both seem to be contributing well.

I am 468 highest overall rate out of 911 active users in SoB.

How do I place FAH on maximum, I know how to put SOB on idle.
Thanks in advance.

Right click on the little Folding icon in your task bar, then click "Configure".
Click the "Advanced" tab and you'll see Core Priority. Mine is set at "Lowest" but you can set it to "Slightly higher"
You can also adjust the "CPU Usage Percent" scale.

You can probably adjust it further, but one of the guys would have to help with that.
