I've noticed that some people have images in their sigs, but those images are no longer loading. If you've got any images in your sig, please make sure they are still at the same locations. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Hehehe, if you were talking about my sig, umm as i've stated in the past the webserver the pic is on goes down more than a $2 hooker, so sometimes its there sometimes its not. But any of the times i've had problems the bastage webserver was currently not experiencing said down time. _________________ Smoke-em if you got-em I do.. |

Actually, it was Sir Fart's sig that I noticed. Given the very intermittent pattern to the slowness, I doubt missing pics are the problem. And it still wouldn't explain slow posting. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Some of the sigs and avatars can be slow to load, but that just means the page jumps around unexpectedly.
The problem is definitely while (or just after) posting. If it isn't a DNS issue, maybe something to do with inserting records in the database? (or possibly retrieving a newly written record?)

I can second that; I'm getting long delays following a post, but for anything (that I've noticed).
[edit: but not particularly long for THIS post ... ?] |

It is obviously a surreptitious automated posting filter intended to screen out frivolous and objectionable posts.

Looking at the web logs, your post at 7:16 took 8 seconds from the time you hit submit until you got back to the thread. Your post right after took 6 seconds. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

jonny, thanks for the info isn't that slow when you have post that post right away and then it take those 6 or 8 seconds to post another. I think that is a big difference.
I appreciate you looking into that, but did you find a reason? _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

Can you find out why this post went to the "can't find web site error"? _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |
