This is a very new project. Link is at XtremLab. It is basically for analyzing strength of the BOINC grid. No credits have yet been granted, only a Linux client aviable now, but things are moving along. I have signed up. I want to be part of the KWSN there, too! #ni-1

The project had a bit of a rough start and people downloaded WAAY too much work. I let my machines keep running, and after going through about 90% of all of it apparently it has stopped. At this point I am #1 overall.

Do I need permission to start a KWSN team there or must it be done by one of our "officials?"

Alright, then!

I have founded KWSN there and I welcome all of you to join. Remember, only Linux clients at the moment. And the project people speak with this outrrrrrrrageous accent. What a strange person.

edit: Yes of course. Since I am #1 in credit ATM KWSN is #1 in credit. #ni-1

I don't think there is a unified BOINC team creation committee yet. Maybe we should look into that. Smile The important thing is to get the name EXACTLY the same as on all the other projects. Capitalization, spacing and punctuation. "The Knights Who Say Ni!" Otherwise cross-projects stats get broken because they use string comparison to combine teams.

The project has been offline for over 3 weeks now. Mad

I have detached my boxes and will wait and see if it gets revived with any measure of stability.

Is XtremLab officially stopped?
BoincStats calls it Retired, but BoincSynergy stills has it as Alpha.

However their website doesn't answer anymore , that could be a sign...

From what I have seen, I am going to take a wild guess and say it has been retired.

Xtremelab have a new shrubbery and so are saying Ni once again.

Same website etc. but all users and teams have been deleted so they have to be recreated.

Stats sites may be a little off as stats are not currently being exported so may pick up cached data relating to old user IDs.

There is only a Linux client at the moment but a Windows one is being tested.

Ni Ni Ni. What a busy day. Although I remain skeptical, I have recreated KWSN for this project and have my account going.

Let's see how we do this time around.

There seemed to be a error with the 2.00 version and WU's. I have recently had 2.01 downloaded and these seem to be runnig at a much more successful pace.

Well thought i better put my 2 cents worth in...
i got 3 pc's going and those 3 have xtremlab and seti on them...2 only for einstein as my new baby 2.66 has only 2 gb drive and einstein wont accept that...
the box's all run linux(dont like to use windows much, too bloody cold)...
1x sempron 2800+
1x celeron 2.4 ghz
1x celeron-D 2.66 ghz
so with those three running it should bring the stats up a bit..
another pc i have is only a C3 samuel-2(cyrix renamed) is for my son and wont run xtremlab as i dont think the cpu has the instructions required for there programme..
had to use windows optimizing to get it to crunch seti in less than 2 days...lol
so if all goes well pc No 5 should be here soon...lol
