I split the priority 50% folding / 50% eOn on the following machines:

1 XP 2200+
1 XP 2100+

I went from 510th place to 257th in 7 hours.
The realtime stats are "refreshing".

I'm only giving it 50% of a 3500+.
They need to seriously reconsider their stats before I give it more.

It's all about the stats. Cool

Does this mean that you guys are running multiple DC projects on the same cpu's at the same time ??? Coz if so you'll not get the best performance out of either DC project - not even if the machines are powered by African Swallows I'm afraid - because the kernel (or if you're using windows then whatever the MS children like to call the core of their OS) will take up valuable cycles switching between programs, and the cpu and memory caches are likely to get flushed often.

For me the first day was a priority juggle.
Starting yesterday I've got one XP 2200+ and one XP 2100+ set aside just for eOn.
Then after seeing the new stats I added a XP 2400+. Very Happy

Ni!
I'm having probs with the Eon project. Seems to be firewall/port probs, but it's good that those in charge are easy to contact. NOTE! There are two forums! (I see Dagger found that out too!) The official forum is under "Hosted Forums", not the one under "Distributed Computing Projects". It goes probably quicker to get a reply under the official forum.
I didn't realize that the project was so new and they're still fine tuning and "bug" killing. One thing I saw on their forum was that because of the way the work is calculated, the WUs can dry up, so it's maybe a good thing to have two projects running.
Ni! Smile

I'm shutting down eOn until those errors get worked out.. I'm failing to upload 7 times for every 8 i complete. (seems like that anyway)

[EDIT] Got smart, analyze only pops up with the GUI client, not the text one.. Using CLI now.. [/EDIT]

It seems the new download for Windows solved my probs - port/firewall etc. Now have the "Yuri" laptop and grilled sandwich maker ("munch while you crunch!") on the project for KWSN -let's go team!

Yup, the Linux version is also much more reliable at returning results Smile My slackware box is crunching a treat, as are my FreeBSD and OpenBSD ones Cool

Fang,

I setup 5 machines to run eOn for the day to see what they could do and if I could match your point output.
Looks like you knew it and stayed a few steps ahead of me all day. Smile

Now I wonder how many units could be completed if I set all 12 home machines on eOn for a couple days.

How many machines you got running eOn?
Total Ghz?
Got any benchmarks you would like to share or OS's to recommend?

Vesuvius,

mwwhhhaaaaaa!!!!!

I've got the following machines running e0n :-

* AMD 1.8Ghz Duron running Slackware Linux (Slackware 10)

* AMD 1.9Ghz Duron running OpenBSD 3.5 (two instances of e0n, because I notice there is a drop in cpu load when it's returning and retrieving results) [actually just an overclocked 1.8Ghz Duron]

* Intel 1.9Ghz Celeron running FreeBSD 5.3 (again two instances of e0n running)

* Intel 1.7Ghz Centrino running Windows 2000 (though not this OS out of choice naturally)

* AMD 900Mhz Athlon running Windows 98 (only running on this one part time)

So far I've not tried to gather any stats on how well they are performing against each other...

...so good luck in the chase, and remember I have half a blade centre at my disposal if need be Laughing

happy crunching,
Grawlfang
