I was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with BOINC 4.14 getting stuck on running CPU benchmarks.
It's been like this for about 24 hours now. I've restarted the computer a couple of times, exited and restarted the program but it's still just sitting there for some reason. Clicking on Update does nothing because everything has been suspended.
Will I need to reinstall BOINC?

... me again too ... I've had it get stuck doing nothing, where it had work but wasn't doing it, but that went away after the last BOINC upgrade. I have no other suggestions other than reinstalling.

Thankees. That's what I thought I'd need to do.
Which version have you got running now? I saw something on one of the boards about 4.13 being the 'official' release, but mine just seemed to automatically download 4.14 which is supposedly 'alpha' or 'beta' (can't remember which). _________________ My brain hurts.

Well, I must have found one of them. lol I couldn't remember what site I got it from so I went back and checked. They look like they're all 4.13 or lower (LHC 4.09), except for einstein@home (currently 4.16). So I'd say I downloaded it from there when I was checking for account creation and reinstalling everything.
Downloaded and reinstalled 4.13 over the top of 4.14 and everything is working again.

Yeah, Einstein discovered some nasty bugs in some of the client code and quickly went from 4.13 to .14 .15 and now they just released 4.16. However unless you are running Eeinstein, you should not need anything other than 4.13. |

4.14 and 4.16 weren't friendly for ClimatePrediction either. 4.14 ate a unit I was 400+ hours into. Briefly tried 4.16 and got the same errors (at least that was only after 90 seconds). Rolled back to 4.13 and all is well.
