And now for something completely different...
It looks like Predictor@Home is in the process of coming back online. Should be totally up by the end of the year. Website is partially up, but scheduler is still offline. _________________

Looks like Predictor is up. I've processed a few WU's, but haven't received any credit yet...
KWSN is currently in 11th place...

All i get is:
2005-01-01 14:32:37 [ProteinPredictorAtHome] Message from server: No work available (there was work but it was committed to other platforms.
Oh well. Gotta finish this CPDN WU first, haven't finished Phase 1 yet. Then i can detach from that and really pound out the WU _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |

It's running a little better now, up for 12 hours, then down for 12 hours. Perhaps someone needs to tell the janitor to stop turning off the equipment when he goes home. |

Yes... they are having issues with the homogeneous redundancy code in BOINC. It is kind of hit & miss as far as getting work for a specific platform. They are talking about it furiously on the BOINC developer mailing list and I think a solution is near... I can almost feel it! errr... wait a minute! That isn't the solution I'm feeling!

Well, it's Monday the 10th here in Australia. So I guess it's only a matter of time now until account creation is enabled...waiting patiently.

Yeah... good luck with that |

The validator is working! We are trying to get all the old jobs from over the holidays validated and credit granted. We are also working on the 'there was work, but it was for other platforms' issue. We hope to have that resolved soon. |

Our new application (4.22) has reduced the amount of data per workunit as advertised. In the process of rolling it out we managed to send out several corrupt work units which caused several Fortran Errors. The deadline is back at 7 days. Currently we are getting somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 successful results per day. We are still working on issues dealing with pending credits, boinc client errors, and graphics. |

Have detached most my machines from predictor, since they can't seem to handle errors and cause the machine to enter limbo doing no more work. So i will probably lose my top spot soon as my predictor preduction comes to a halt untill they get some things fixed, now to take over einstein top spot _________________ Smoke-em if you got-em I do.. |

The work generator crashed last night. Some of you may have run out of work or been told that there was work but it was for other platforms. Chahm has fixed the generator and it is creating work again. |

Just started splitting my shrubbing time between Seti and Predictor.
We'll see how it goes. |

Ahhhhhhh!
See my post (same date, just a few minutes earlier) in the Rosetta thread. Same situation with Predictor!
626.73 credits applied to the right team now.

OK I got signed up with right team the other day and now Predictor is down.
I'm just wondering if any of my fellow Looneys that are in the know have heard what's going on over there. Peguin infestation of their server?

They posted an item yesterday stating the server had problems, but expected it to be up & running later that afternoon. Obviously a tad optimistic, their web site now consists of the following GeekSpeak:
Quote: | Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Host 'server' is blocked because of many connection errors. Unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts' in /export/projects/predictor/html/inc/db.inc on line 16
