Hi all....
I installed SP2, and its actually done some good. It means at least now my wireless card works. But now im working on securing it.
I've got 64bit WEP enabled atm, and will hopefully move it upto 128bit. But for now it will do!.
Problem is, im trying to turn off Broadcast SSID and keep the connection running. Seems windows XP really doesn't like this idea. Anyone else has this problem and how did you fix it?
Cheers. _________________ Smiley |

I just let Intel's software configure my built in wireless (centrino). It stores the SSID and all other associated settings in a profile which you can manually tell it to load or let it automatically do so. Also, if I recall correctly, windows wouldn't let me use 128 bit WEP but the intel program would. Maybe I'm just tired and blathering incoherrently. Almost time to get off work! |
