As I mentioned in the other PotM thread, I threw my newly built computer at this project. What's up with the credit? I mean the work units do take a while but the credit granted seems kind of inflationary. Is this normal with GPU projects? I haven't GPU'd in a while.

GPUGrid does have higher than normal credit push. They want their units returned as quickly as possible and give extra credit for turning them in quickly. Current GPUs crunch much faster than CPUs, so credit gains a lot quicker in most cases.

I thought you've been around long enough to know what happens to PotM!

Hi,
somebody might have noticed that we recently running low in WUs.

The main reason for this is that we have very few people at the moment. Practically only Gerard is using it. Noelia is finishing her Phd in February and mainly writing up. Nate finished in July.

The good news that we are hiring more PhD students and already from January the group should be quite a bit larger with at least two other phD students and possibly one postdoc.

The GPU election was very close - GPUGrid received 4 votes and Einstein and PrimeGrid each received 3 votes. So I guess we can continue with either of those two or take a vacation for the rest of the year?

Thoughts? Cramps?

It seemed like I had a thought, then it turned out to be just a brain fart.

I'll try again.

They did have a DNS change about a week ago. Maybe the DNS tables your pointing to are outdated for some reason?
