Why was I LOL ? That these guys are/were debating about Folding on silent vs. non-silent PC's !!!!! I gather there are fan-less PC's out there, some big-honkin'-mother-of-all-heat-sink-thingy-do's that you use to replace fans .

In summary, THESE GUYS ARE STARK RAVING LOONIES !!!

I mean, we're out of our friggin' minds here, and as such frequently misunderstood, but these guys (at least some of them) are NUTS !!!! Sir Rustbucket from their team seems sane, but I suspect he dwells in some asylum with the rest of 'em .

Sir Fart- it occurs to him that when dealing with crazy people we could very well get into producing yet another KWSN video "When Taunting goes bad - Volume XVI, and by Jebus I'm gonna be in it !!!!

So what is a quiet PC?? My first one was pretty quiet, but since I moved to AMD's The neighbors send the zoning police around quite often. Seems they think I am doing some type of industrial fan testing around here.

I'm quite glad we can provide you with some amusement.

As the self-appointed emmisary from the Kingdom of Silence I feel compelled to expell (ooh that sounded musical) some myths:

1: Yes, we all quite quite insane. Although we perfer to be called Eccentric. It sounds fancier. Ted Bundy was insane, Howard Hughes was eccentric. See the difference?

2. A Silent PC is one that makes less noise. I thought this was self-explanitory, but there appears to be some questions about it. Make a concept idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

3. A serious, almost rational note, making your machine quieter does have its advantages. Your music sounds better, your games sounds better. And you can sleep next to without having those disturbing dreams involving DusterBusters attacking your genitalia.

4. Obviously it is also a wacky hobby. Think of it like overclocking, only harder to do.
