Those new GFN projects, GFN15 and GFN16 are hitting primes pretty quickly. Since they have been started 6 were found, 2 by myself alone in the GFN16 range! They run on both CPU and GPU.
[edit]Make that 3![/edit] |

running the short (read low) and average GFNs since I am only running cpu and the longs would take me over a month to finish. Already have nearly 40k credits but no lucky primes.
Good going there Sir Bear claiming primes for the Knights yet again _________________

Today PG added GFN18, GFN19 and GFN20, they also updated GFN21 and GFN22 (WR) to the new trickle up standard, which also allows GFN22 to be done on CPU.
It is suggested that GFN22 (WR) be done only on the newest CPUs if you want to try that thing. AVX & FMA are your friend and Hypterthreading or mobile chips are not in this case.
Now you can really gain some WUProp hours on even more new task types. |

Firstly , Congratz to Sir Pooh Bear on the recent Prime finds and Congratz to Sir Fuzy Duck on the verification of the record large prime (105th in Prime Book of Antioch).
Secondly , I won't be able to participate in the Leonids Challenge because I started some CPU Genefer WU's at the first of the month and they are still running... 20% progress
They won't finish in time. _________________

Less than 24 hours:
Leonids Shower Challenge
Nov 14 18:00 to Nov 17 18:00 (UTC)
Since I have to go out of town on work business and will not be able to be near a system at the switch time I switched them all now, since they only take about 15 or so minutes to do. Should not really lose any productivity.
Good luck to all the Knights who enter this challenge. May I be the one to hit the Twin prime again and have 2 world records |

Well I'm not sure if these are quite the final numbers, but looks like we wound up in 10th place with 679607.44 points. Anyone know how to list the individual contributions? |

As a team we came in 10th, which has been our average all year so far.
10 The Knights Who Say Ni! 679607.44
There is one more challenge this year. Winter Solstice. It starts 19-DEC for 3 days and runs the PPS-Sieve. The current recent run times are:
Recent average CPU time: 27:14:03
Recent average GPU time: 0:29:04
These do not change much as the file sizes stay about the same. Credit per WU is 3,371.00. For GPU these run on CUDA 2.3 for NVidia and OCL for AMD, there is no OCL for NVidia. |

'twould make sense to have Prime grid GPU for Dec if we wish to have a better chance in the challenge, should members so wish, if the price of herrings is acceptable, Llamas agreeable etc etc etc
Any words of advice from Glomer(All hail his magnificence! Leader of the not-so-free universe, Director of the Spanish Inquisition Inc. and all round great guy.)? _________________

The CPU Genefer WU's that I started on November 1st are now 60% completed. There is little or no possibility that they will finish before December.
Edit: now I see there is no chance of even finishing them on time.
It is now Dec. 5 - they are due Dec.13 - one is 87% the others 85% @ 565 to 575 hours... each.
2nd Edit: I finished one on time, dumped one and let the third one run even though I knew it wasn't going to finish on time. It finished last night (Dec.17 - 4 days late) and I was granted credit for it. !!! I'm so happy I could spit elderberries. |
