Guess I'll break open that bottle of Jack on new years after all.
RIP Lemmy. |

My sister's partner used to know him before Motörhead became big. Old drinking buddies.
Gave him some demo tapes and asked him for his feedback.
He's really cut up poor fella. _________________

That's what I want to know! RIP Lemmy.
I haven't really been a Motorhead fan, but I'm an old Hawkwind fan.
Warrior on the Edge of Time was my first Hawkwind album and I think it was Lemmy's last album with them. I've still got it! Amazing lyrics by Michael Moorcock (love his books) and amazing music by Hawkwind. Assault and Battery is probably my favourite on this album. Listening to it on youtube now. No, wait! I think The Demented Man is my favourite. Haven't played this for years. The Demented Man is incredible. "Those flashing lights are warning me" "You're caught in a web of emptiness" I used to know all the words of this one.

We also lost Stevie Wright within a few days of losing Lemmy. You probably haven't heard of him, but he was a very talented Aussie who was pretty mixed up and hit the drugs and alcohol pretty bad (like Lemmy). I think Stevie Wright was in his late 60's.

And Natalie Cole passed away too.
I guess we'll be hearing about others soon enough as the old rockers just keep getting older. _________________ My brain hurts.
