|
|
So please share your new scores for old & new GPUs & CPUs alike!
Please note new requirements for the benchmark :-
Validated 106.88 credit WUs only & must be from the MilkyWay@Home v1.02 app (the separation mod fit ones are slower. ~20s on my HD 5850 @850 MHz.).
Average of 5 WU times (not cherry picked please! ).
A dedicated CPU core for each GPU.
Please state clock speeds if overclocked (including factory overclocks) or state 'stock'.
Please only crunch 1 WU at a time per GPU, otherwise it will massively increase WU time! (even if it does increase output, the WU times seem to fluctuate much more than singly crunched WUs so you can't 1/2 the time either).
For CPUs you'll want to crunch 1 WU per real core.
It would also be handy if you could state your BOINC & driver version & OS, incase it does make any odds.
I'll start off with my main rigs time .

Current GPU statistics ~ Average Run Time to Complete 1 MW v1.02 106.88 credit WU :-
R9 280X (GPU 1185 MHz, RAM 1600 MHz) .............. 23s ...... DutchDK

Current CPU statistics ~ Average CPU Time to Complete 1 MW v1.02 106.88 credit WU :-
Intel Xeon X5570 (Turboing to 3.2 GHz) ............... 3376s ... DutchDK
Intel i7-4702MQ @2.2GHz, (HT on) ...................... 6245s ... Maxwell
(OK this forum busts the links too & I've decided not to edit it all as it takes too long! If you want to see any users posts then checkout the AT thread).
************************************************************************************
If your wondering why I'm starting over again it's because the original (long) version of the 213.76 credit WU used for the benchmark has become only sporadically available now. At 1st a short version joined it & so for a while we had both (which confused some people) & then the long 1 disappeared altogether for a time! It is sporadically back now but it just makes things too difficult.
Also I later found out that some people don't run the mod fit WUs (like the 213.76s) because of lower credit & some people can't run them due to hardware limitations (e.g HD 3800s). I did ask at the MW forum originally but no one said anything .
So this time I've chosen MW@H v1.02 106.88 credit WU for the benchmark, although it's shorter run times give the illusion of smaller performance gaps between different hardware it'll be easier overall.
Further info.

You know Assimilator1, our Projects of the Month are Collatz and WCG. So no time to run MW@H ATM. Check back next month (or try during monthly PotM's voting) _________________

None of those links work for me.
According to your account list http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/results.php?hostid=516976 you have no MW WUs at all, in progress or otherwise.
Have you actually seen them being crunching within BOINC?
Turn around time seems a bit long, are you doing them within the deadline?
You've done a lot of projects btw!
Btw sorry for the late reply, seems I'm not getting the email notifications! _________________ Team AnandTech - SETI, F@H, Muon1, MW@H, Asteroids@H, LHC@H, Skynet, Rosetta@H |

Yeah, finishing them on time - This MOMENT that Laptop doesn't have any WUs downloaded,
but I got five years under my belt! I'll watch closer next time I get some... TY for noticing I'm
doing so many! Never MEANT to, but Team needed me...

Did you get any MW WU times?

Did you get any times in the end?
Btw I will no longer be updating the table in this forum due to lack of replies, but if anyone wants to see the updated table then go to the 'New AnandTech (benchmark) thread' or the 'New benchmark thread' at the Milkyway forums linked in my 1st post. The AnandTech thread is better btw because I can edit the 1st post for updates. _________________ Team AnandTech - SETI, F@H, Muon1, MW@H, Asteroids@H, LHC@H, Skynet, Rosetta@H |
